AIR BRUSH TANS FAQs

  • What should I be doing to prepare for my airbrush tan?  Make sure that your skin is smooth and exfoliated. If you have particularly dry skin it is important to make sure that you are exfoliating your skin AT LEAST 3 days prior to your appointment.
  • How long will my tan last?  While skin type and maintenance are a important factor in the length of time your airbrush tan will last, the typical time frame is 5-7 days.
  • How far in advance should I book my tan before attending a special event? We recommend waiting at least 1.5-2 days prior to attending an event following your airbrush appointment. This will allow for you tan to fully activate. This also allows for at least two showers in which excess bronzer will be removed from the skin as to not stain any garments you would be wearing. If you need your tan to be ready for an event sooner we do offer a few rapid developing formulas that will develop in 3-6 hours. Ask about them when booking your airbrush appointment!
  • Can I put my make up on right after I finish my tan? If you choose to have your face tanned it is recommended that you wait to apply makeup, however this is up to your own discretion. If you do decide to apply makeup, a light coverage would be recommended. Just be aware that if you wash your tanned face prior to the 10-12 hour period that the airbrush tan is activating you will stop the activation process.
  • What should I wear to my airbrush tan? What you wear during your tanning is up to your discretion. If you opt to wear swimwear while being tanned please be sure that the swimwear is form fitting and dark as light shades will be stained. Following your appointment, please be sure to wear dark, loose, cotton clothing and slip on shoes in order to not rub off your tan or leave any markings.  Any jewelry worn to your appointment should be removed and not reapplied until after you’ve washed the excess bronzer away.
  • If I get your darkest tan will it last longer? No, the darkness of your tan does not factor into the length of time your tan lasts. Proper tan maintenance, including moisturizing and the application of a tan extender can potentially extend the life of your tan.
  • Can I be spray tanned with body hair? This is ultimately up to you, body hair is very unlikely to cause your tan to be uneven as the tanner is able to penetrate past hair giving those with body hair the same results as those without. However, if you do opt for hair removal prior to your airbrush appointment please note that any hair removal (shaving or waxing) should be done no less than 8 hours prior to your appoint. When hair is removed, this opens up your skins pores and the tanner will clog those pores giving your skin a “freckled” appearance where you shaved/waxed. It is also important to note that if you shave/wax after your tan this will reduce the length of your tan, as the removal of hair will also lift dry skin cells from your body sooner, thus expediting the body’s exfoliation process.
  • Does your airbrush tanner contain SPF? No! It is important that you are still applying sunscreen when headed outdoors.
  • I’m vegan, are your spray tans vegan friendly? Yes! All three of our shades are vegan friendly, paraben free, all natural blends.

EYELASH EXTENSION FAQs

  • How long will my eyelash extension appointment take? This is entirely dependent on what lash style you decide on. Our technicians will be applying either a single lash or cluster of lashes (depending on style preference) to your own personal lashes, if you are lucky enough to be blessed with lots of lashes the application process will take longer. Prepare for your appointment to be no less than an hour long. If time is a concern, check with your technician prior to the start of the appointment for a more accurate estimate.
  • How long will my lash extensions last? This is dependent on how well you are following the aftercare process.  It is crucial that your lashes stay dry for at least 24 hours (no sweat, no steam, etc.) and that you are not using products with oil after the lashes are applied. Oil will cause the adhesive to loosen and your lashes to fall off. If properly cared for they can be expected to last up to 3 weeks at the longest.
  • Can I wear mascara with my lash extensions? No, we definitely do not recommend it. This is because most products that will be able to remove the mascara from your lashes while keeping the lashes intact. If you do opt to do so, make sure that your make up remover is OIL and ALCOHOL FREE. When your lashes are applied it is very unlikely that you will see a need to apply mascara. Once you start seeing gaps in your lashes feel free to get in touch with our technician about getting them filled in.
  • My lashes are starting to come loose how can I remove them? DO NOT pick your lash extensions that are coming loose! This will cause damage to your natural lashes, as that is what your extensions are attached to. If you need assistance removing your lashes please contact one of our technicians and we will be happy to set an appointment to remove them for you.
  • What are some after care tips I should be mindful of? Be sure that you are not letting water directly hit your lashes, particularly in the shower, as the pressure from the shower water will eventually loosen or wear out the lashes. When sleeping, be sure to not directly sleep on your lashes. Gently comb your lashes with a spoolie, do be careful not to “over fluff” or use the spoolie like you do with mascara. Please ask a technician to show you how to properly comb your lash extensions. Lastly, make sure that you are keeping your lash extensions clean for longer wear. Due to our bodies creating natural oil, the adhesive is likely to break down over time if lashes are not cleansed. If you’re unsure how to properly cleanse your lashes, please ask your technician about proper procedures and cleansing products as she may have some available for you to purchase.
